The MiCS-5524 is a MEMS-based gas sensor applicable to indoor carbon oxide and natural gas leak detection, indoor gas quality monitoring, breath detection, and fire early warning. When detecting gases, the MiCS-5524's conductivity depends on changes in the gas concentration in the air. In the absence of the target gas, the sensor exhibits high resistance; conversely, in the presence of the target gas, the sensor's resistance decreases. A measurement circuit can be used to determine the change in target gas concentration by measuring the change in the sensor's conductivity.
