This is a 6-cell lithium-ion battery, 22V board suitable for power tools, solar energy applications, and lighting. It's specifically designed for 18650 batteries and is a ternary 3.7V lithium battery protection board (BMS). As the name suggests, a battery protection board is an integrated circuit board primarily designed to protect rechargeable batteries (generally lithium batteries). The need for protection in rechargeable lithium batteries is inherent to their characteristics. Due to the materials used in lithium batteries, they cannot be overcharged, over-discharged, overcurrented, short-circuited, or subjected to excessively high temperatures during charging and discharging. Therefore, lithium battery modules are always accompanied by a protection board with a sampling resistor and a current fuse. This board can be used with 5-10 cells; other cell numbers can be easily modified.
